When playing for the first time, you might be a little overwhelmed by everything that is going on in the background so you need a complete MapleStory M Guide to start. The best thing to do is just to go around clicking everything to familiarise yourself with it all as there are a few hidden benefits such as the quest theme rewards (challenges – scroll – theme rewards). Equipment and Item guide for Maplestory M players! Learn indepth analysis on how gearing works in this game and what the BiS (BEST IN SLOT) Items are! Maplestory: Reboot is a unique server for players who perhaps have gotten bored of or never liked the layout of Classic Maplestory, in a nutshell. It also was one of the many attempts by Nexon America to revive their dying game (it worked).

You guys may have no clue to set the goal for your equipment progression or how to do for your gear. Then here are tips to help you make your equips stronger or improve your equips.

If you're playing solo:

  • Progress your Gollux equipment. Solid -> Rein -> Superior
  • Get the SS ring from the event that's currently happening. It's one of the BIS(Best in slot) rings.
  • Vengence ring has passed so I'd assume the next best rings would be either Reinforced Gollux ring or Blackgate rings.
  • For face accessory, you can either get the Blackgate mask for the 3 set effect or get the Sweetwater face.
  • For the eye accessory, I think Sweetwater glasses is BIS.
  • For gloves, I think getting the High Quality Dimension gloves will be better since it gives more stats and gives attack. You can get this from Dimension Invasion PQ by killing Blackheart in the bonus stage. (Tyrant Gloves are 100% better. But it takes A LOT of investment to get)
  • For Shoes, once you feel a bit stronger you can attempt to kill normal magnus for a higher change of it dropping Nova shoes for your class. Otherwise Easy mode magnus has a very low chance of dropping it.

If you got guildies that can help you equipment progress:

  • You can skip Gollux and go straight for Reinforced set or maybe Superior if your guild is kind and strong enough to help you.
  • You can get Tyrant cape from Hard Magnus which is the BIS cape until you can transpose it into a Sweetwater cape(In commerci).
  • You can replace your hat, top and pants with Chaos root abyss equipment if your guildies are strong enough to get a party together.
  • As for shoes and belt, it's gonna take a while to get the BIS Tyrant Shoes and Tyrant Belt, it will require you to do Hard Magnus for several weeks.

End-game equipment you should probably aim for:

Hat, Top, Buttom, Weapon, Secondary:

  • Chaos Root Abyss equipment (Use Fafnir Dagger and Fafnir Katara (From Chaos Root Abyss Cvel) unless you're lucky enough to get Sweetwater Dagger and Sweetwater Katara).

Accessories:

  • Superior Gollux Ring, SS Ring, Either 2 Blackgate rings or 1 Blackgate ring and 1 Reinforced Gollux ring.
  • 2 Superior Gollux pendants.
  • Superior Gollux Earrings (This will give you the 4 Superior Gollux effect)
  • Sweetwater Face or Blackgate Mask (Only use Blackgate Mask if you're using 2 Blackgate rings).
  • Sweetwater Glasses.

Cape, Shoes Belt:

  • Tyrant Cape, Tyrant Shoes, Tyrant Belt (If you're lucky enough to get Sweetwater Cape, Sweetwater Shoes and Sweetwater Gloves, and your Tyrant Cape and Tyrant Shoes are both 10 starred you can transpose the Tyrant cape into Sweetwater which will give you more range when you use Sweetwater set effect).

Misc:

  • Ghost Exorcist Badge
  • Gold Maple Leaf Emblem
  • Antellion Guardian Medal
  • Absolab Shoulders then it will be Arcane Shoulders but that's a far off dream for now.

Hope you can get a little help from above tips. When you are playing MapleStory 2 (Korean version) and have demand for cheap maplestory 2 mesos, which can be obtained on our online store maplestory2mesos.com. Keep an eye on us.

Part 2:Level 10 to Master Craftsmen

Required Mastery: 45,000

Note (Important):

Up to this point of the Accessory Crafting process, items would deteriorate gradually as you became a higher level than a crafted item’s required level. This number is shown on any given item in a bar above the materials under the abbreviation “Rec. Lv.” Now that you have reached Level 10, any item that has a Rec. Lv. of 7 or below will not give any Mastery and only take 5 Fatigue.

Another change that has been made in the transition from Level 9 to Level 10 is that there is a timer which has been placed on the crafting system. Everytime you craft an item, you will have to wait 15 minutes to craft another of the same item. To clarify, the timer only applies to the specific item that you crafted, and not other, different items.

Finally, and Most Importantly, there has been a special requirement put in place for maintaining your Mastery in Level 10. This requirement is that you must craft at least one item every 17-18 hours from your last craft. If you do not do this, you will lose the Mastery you have in massive chunks, and may be absolutely devastating to your materials if you are not careful.

Mastery Scaling for Level 10:

Rec. Lv. < 8:0 Mastery 5 Fatigue

Rec. Lv. 8: 512 Mastery 5 – 10 Fatigue

Rec. Lv. 9: 900 Mastery 5 – 10 Fatigue

Rec. Lv. 10: 3700 Mastery 5 – 10 Fatigue

*These values do change for some items

Side-Note:

Items that have a Level Requirement of 10 are different from other items because they only consist of recipe-required items. This also means that they are extremely difficult and unreasonable to craft as a way of leveling to Master Craftsmen, and why it is in your best interest to mass produce items with a Level Requirement of 9.

Recommended Items to Craft:

  • Swift Deadshot Ring II
    • Rec. Lv. 9 900 Mastery 10 Fatigue
    • Required Materials
      • Dark Crystal (x1)

Maplestory Ring Guide

Part 3:Master Craftsmen to Meister

Required Mastery: 160,000

Note:

Congratulations, you have hit Master Craftsmen. From here until Meister is fairly easy compared to Level 10 to Master. You will mainly be focusing on making the Gray Class Meister Symbols, which you can find under the Face Accessory tab in your profession window.

Rules from leveling from Level 10 to Master still apply going to Meister, however, if you end up having 0 Mastery at Master Craftsmen and miss crafting for that day, you will drop down a level back to Level 10. This is easily resolved as you only need to craft one item and pay the fee to get back to Master, but if you continue to not craft items daily, you can drop all the way down to Level 10 with 0 Mastery.

Recommended Items to Craft:

  • Gray Warrior/Magician/Archer/Thief/Pirate Meister Symbol
    • Rec. Lv. [Master Craftsmen] 5324 Mastery 10 Fatigue
    • Required Materials
      • Gray Warrior/Magician/Archer/Thief/Pirate Symbol (x1)
        • Emerald (x4)
        • Intermediate Abrasive (x2)
        • Intermediate Item Crystal (x8)
          • Intermediate Item Crystals can be easily obtained by buying Level 70+ equips from the Armor Merchant In Leafre and extracting them in Ardentmill.
      • Basic Spell Essence (x15)
      • Superior Abrasive (x1)
      • Superior Item Crystal (x20)
      • Philosopher’s Stone (x3)

Part 4:Meister Crafting

Welcome to Meister Accessory Crafting!
First off, you may notice that your character has an effect following you around. This is the Meister Effect, and each profession has one. If you would like to disable or re-enable it, you can open up the Profession Tab with the Key Bind and toggle it on and off there.

How to Maintain Meister:

(WIP)

As a Meister, you are able to craft any item that you want so long as it does not require a recipe. The main reason that people get to Meister Accessory Crafting for is the Meister Ring and Meister Earring.

Meister Ring:

Maplestory Fire Starter Ring

  • Rec. Lv. [Meister] 8640 Mastery 100 Fatigue

      • Superior Abrasive (x50)

Reason to Craft:

The Meister Ring is considered a BiS (Best in Slot) item and most definitely a more end game item because of the sheer effort it takes to craft one. This item became BiS after the 25 Star Update, and because the ring is Level 140, it is able to get all 25 stars. Having a clean ring may not help, but it is definitely better to have it to star in the future than not having one at all.
The second reason is not required for end-game, but it is basically 100% necessary in terms of practicality. You are able to craft a second Meister Ring and star this second ring all the way up to 22 stars. Then you are able to transfer the ring onto a Superior Gollux Ring to get it automatically to 21 stars. Keep in mind that this will override the potential on the Gollux Ring, but if you have the money/mesos in your respective server, having the 21 stars and working up to get your potential back is more than worth it. Also, flames transfer from the old equipment onto the new equipment, and Nexon had confirmed that Gollux equips would not get the same Boss bonus that CRA, Absolab, and Arcane equips would get. Surprisingly, Meister equips do get this bonus, so if you do plan to transfer, make sure you have the flames you want beforehand.

Meister Earrings:

  • Rec. Lv. [Meister] 8640 Mastery 100 Fatigue
  • Success: 100% Premium: 20%
    • Required Materials
      • Twisted Time (x600)
      • Superior Abrasive (x50)
      • Mana Crystal (x100)
      • Philosopher’s Stone (x35)
      • Confusion Fragment (x10)
      • Grand Spell Essence (x150)

Reason to Craft:

Best In Slot Rings Maplestory Quest

The Meister Earring by itself is not very useful, but what it is used for is transposing into Sweetwater Earrings. Unlike Sweetwater equips obtained from killing bosses in voyages, the ones that you buy can be 25 stars even after transposing. The preferred earrings to transpose into Sweetwater Earrings are the Inverse Earrings from Kritias, but they cost 200 Kritias Commemorative Coins, or 200 Kritias Dailies/Invasions. The stat difference between transposing one opposed to the other is minimal, about 1 to 2 stat and Att/M.Att.
